Hedgie is an OG project in the NFT space. Conceived in late 2017, launched in spring 2018 on the Ethereum blockchain. Eight years later, we're still here, and you can still mint one.

Hedgies are minted on Ethereum, using our original smart contract from 2018.
- Each Hedgie is unique, programmatically generated from about 100 different attributes
- Some are artist-collab Hedgies, where an invited artist reimagines a Hedgie in their own style, becoming a permanent part of the collection
- Some are special edition Easter eggs, rare one-offs tied to moments, holidays, or milestones worth celebrating
- The collection is capped at 8,888. There will never be any more minted.
The mint price is 0.01 ETH. Hedgies are randomly assigned to your wallet, you never know which one you'll get. You can purchase up to 10 in one transaction.

The Game
A fully operational P2E game since 2018. Send your Hedgie on journeys to earn loot, resources, Curio and XP. Battle other Hedgies in PvP to test your strength and win Curio. Level-up to permanently boost one of its eight powers. Trade loot for Curio coin, or consume it for temporary boosts in journeys and battles.
The Battle Arena
Hedgies compete head-to-head to see who's the strongest. Before each battle, players choose how much Curio to bet against their opponent, winner takes all. A curated home for art, hand-picked, not a free-for-all. We look for good art wherever we find it, and we have a soft spot for under-the-radar talent, with new additions regularly. Hedgie launched in 2018, on the heels of CryptoKitties. It's a P2E game where you train your Hedgie by going on journeys, collect loot, level up, battle other players, and earn Curio coin, plus a curated marketplace where Curio coin can be spent on hand-picked NFT art. The project had good momentum in 2018, then plateaued through crypto winter. We never abandoned our players, and we've kept building ever since.
When we first launched in 2018, MetaMask was still new and unfamiliar to most people, so we let anyone join with just an email and get a randomly generated free Hedgie. In 2022, those players had their last chance to mint. Some did, some didn't. Unminted Hedgies can still be played in the game, but they're not able to earn Curio coin. There are about 24K of them.
Hedgie was the first project to allow purchasing NFTs with fiat, back when most people didn't know what a MetaMask wallet was, or how to buy Ether. We also sold a CryptoPunk in our marketplace for Curio coin, back in April 2020.

Yes. Hedgies are standard NFTs on Ethereum, so you're free to sell, trade, or transfer them on any NFT marketplace. We're a verified collection on OpenSea.
